As you notice, some pictures are missing from this "latest" listing... My website host Easylinehosts one server lost all data along with naturalfinland.net at the begining of April  . They told me they had backups only for domains name begining A to J. But because my domain name begins with N, their backup was 6 months old...  To me that sounds like a joke they should have told 1st of April...  . I avoid placing much more data to naturalfinland.net from now on. I concentrate on updating our picture gallery ArtoLovesMiki.net and some other things...  . |

I enjoy trying new things. From now on I would try to write about my pictures etc. in here:naturalfinland.blogspot.com. Miki would also write from time to time.

Monday, January 1. On new years day we visited Narita. It was really full of people visiting shrine. We had very hard time getting around... We actually lost Miki's father for some time... In the end we found him... .

| Monday, December 25. Miki had work, as usual, on Christmas day. I spent most of the day just resting and listening music. In the evening I went one more time to see Lightopia at Wadakura fountain park. It was very beautiful . |

| Sunday, December 24. On Christmas eve we went to onsen to enjoy sauna and bathing . We had relaxing time there. Our Christmas dinner included delicious cake . Our Christmas tree was smaller than I have gotten used to in Finland... . |

Saturday, December 23. On saturday we went to Harajuku to see some Christmas lights. Harajuku was literally full of people. We could even see about 20 Santa Clauses... . Many buildings in Harajuku had beautiful lights, but actually there was not so much Christmas lights...

| Monday, December 25. Today is Christmas. We had a very nice Christmas eve yesterday. We enjoyed sauna at the onsen. After sauna we had a very good Christmas dinner at home: strawberry cake, chicken etc. We would like to thank everyone who sent us Christmas cards and emails . |

Tuesday, December 19. I could find most beautiful Christmas lights from Wadakura fountain park near Imperial garden. This light installation is called Lightopia. Miki joined me after her work and we could enjoy lights together .

Monday, December 18. It was a clear day. We could see Fuji-san from our balcony . I knew I would there would be nice view from Bunkyo city hall. It seems Japanese people knew that too, because there was about 15 photographers and many people just watching  . Sun set behind great Fuji-san, but Tokyo was beautiful with lights .

Friday, December 15. Tokyo Disneyland also had Christmas themes. We visited there after Miki's work. Christmas lights were of course beautiful. Santa Claus had already stopped working... Maybe he works only from 9 to 5  . We enjoyed parades and attractions very much .

First time I noticed signs of Christmas in LaQua around last week of Nocember. Then fountain in LaQua had Xmas songs. Most shopping centers have Christmas trees. One of the most beautiful is Iksipiari. This is our first Christmas together . We have already gotten many Christmas greetings from Finland .

Sunday, December 10. After Nakano I visited Shinjuku with Miki and her mother. Shinjuku was full of lights and people. I have seen sky scrapers of Shinjuku many times from viewing places like Bunkyo city hall.

| Sunday, December 10. There are many finnish people in Tokyo. Suomi-Kai had a traditional Christmas party at Nakano. There was about 50 people. Christmas feeling was created with Finnish Christmas songs, plays, dinner and of course Santa Claus . |

| Wednesday, December 6. I spent Finland's Independence day at Ueno. Koyo in Ueno was very nice, but enjoyed also art. I visited Tokyo metropolitan art museum to see "Our Landscape: 400 Years of European Paintings of the State Hermitage Museum". I enjoyed it very much . |

Monday December 4. I always enjoy taking pictures of lights in Tokyo. Yesterday evening I took a short trip to Imperial garden and Marunouchi area. It is season of lights now, because of koyo and Christmas .

Saturday November 25. Miki and her parents had to visit one buddhist ceremony in Hitachi, Ibaragi. Miki's father came to Urayasu and we started our trip early. We enjoyed breakfast at Denny's as usual on our trips with Miki's parents . Weather was very nice and we could see beautiful koyo in Hitachi. We had dinner in japanese style warawara restaurant  . On our way there we could enjoy Hitachi Starlight Illumination . We stayed at Toyoko Inn hotel which was clean, nice and very affordable near station . We took a train from Mita station to Shin-Urayasu while Miki's mother continued to Gunma with Miki's father. We had a very nice trip with beautiful weather .

Saturday June 10. This time something different... In this video made in June 2006 you can see Chevrolet HS Special 1938 "in action". I had a very nice day with my friend in Lahti and I saw lots of beautiful old cars .

My birthday was day as any other day. It was sunny day, but I chose to work, because I enjoy working . I got gifts from Miki and her mother. I would use them in kitchen . My mother called and I enjoyed talking with her for a long while . In the evening I met Miki after her work and we went to Jonathan's restaurant near Miki's office. We had a very good dinner with Miki's mother . I had beef with baked potato and chocolate fondue with fruits. As a drink I enjoyed Jonathan's excelent drinkbar: carrot juice and cappucino .

Wednesday, November 22. I visited Nakano for the first time. I just took some pictures and got a "different" souvenir from food market... dried ginger with sugar . Actually it is quite good . In food market I saw some interesting things. One was this old looking "tool". I wonder what it is... Miki told me later, that people made ricecakes with with this .

Wednesday, November 22. Japanese people seem to love koyo, so I have tried to find places to see more of it. Weather was nice on wednesday. I decided to visit one garden in Hakusan second time, this time to see autumn colours. Maybe I was too early or too late, but not much colours there... Anyway I enjoyed my trip and got some nice pictures .

Friday, November 17. We had been looking forward to our trip to Hakone for some time. Our plan was to visit some special place after my birthday. Hakone sure was special. We travelled with train, cablecar, ropeway and bus during our trip . Our hotel in Oohiradai was very nice . We could enjoy onsen both indoors and outdoors. We woke up at night to an small earthquake . They are usual in that part of Japan .
